| Obverse description | Bare-headed and draped bust of Constantine II as Caesar facing right, his hair rendered in fine parallel strands beneath a laurel wreath. The portrait displays the youthful, idealised features characteristic of the young prince's early Constantinian coinage. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Latin capital letters, identifying him by his junior imperial title. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck production at the Trier mint during the early fourth century. |
