Reverse description The she-wolf of Rome standing to the left, her head turned back to face the viewer, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus who crouch beneath her. Two stars appear in the upper field, one to the left and one to the right of the wolf, serving as celestial symbols of divine favour. A spear is visible in the left field. The mint mark SMH∈ appears in the exergue, identifying this as the product of the fifth officina of the Heraclea mint, struck under Constantine I between 330 and 333 AD.
