| Obverse description | Helmeted bust of Roma facing left, wearing a crested Corinthian-style plumed helmet and imperial paludamentum. The effigy is rendered in a bold, schematic late Roman style with visible drapery folds at the shoulder. The legend VRBS ROMA runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible on either side of the bust. The portrait evokes the personification of the city of Rome rather than a reigning emperor, consistent with the commemorative VRBS ROMA series issued under Constantine I. |
