| Obverse description | Veiled and draped bust of the deified Constantine I facing right, shown posthumously with a veil drawn over the head in the manner of a consecratio portrait. The facial features are rendered in low relief with visible modelling of the brow and cheek. The surrounding Latin legend reads DV CONSTANTINVS PT AVGG, identifying the emperor as Divus Constantinus, conferring divine status upon him following his death in 337 AD. |
