| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, rendered in the imperial portrait style characteristic of the Constantinian period. The emperor wears a laurel wreath and segmented plate armour, with paludamentum visible at the truncation. | Reverse description | Sol Invictus, depicted radiate and with a chlamys draped across his left shoulder, stands facing left in a commanding frontal pose. The solar deity raises his right hand in a gesture of salutation or benediction, while his left hand holds a globe symbolising universal dominion. The primary reverse legend SOLI INVICTO COMITI appears in the field, invoking Sol as the companion deity of the emperor. In the exergue, the mintmark F / T BTR identifies the Treveri mint, with the officina letter denoting the specific workshop. |
