Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, with the emperor depicted in military attire befitting his imperial status. The bust is rendered in the vigorous late Roman style characteristic of early Constantinian coinage from the Ticinum mint. The obverse legend IMP CONSTANTINVS P F AVG encircles the effigy, reading clockwise from the lower left, identifying the emperor as Imperator, Pius Felix Augustus. A beaded border frames the entire obverse field.
