Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, rendered in the imperial military style typical of the Tetrarchic and early Constantinian period. The emperor is depicted with a firm, commanding portrait, wearing a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads IMP CONSTANTINVS AVG in raised Latin letters. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck production at the Lugdunum mint.
