Reverse description Standing figure of a military prince (princeps iuventutis) facing left, holding a standard or spear in the right hand and a globe or sceptre in the left, rendered in the conventional late Roman style. A single star appears in the right field, serving as a control mark. The reverse legend PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS ('To the Prince of Youth') runs around the periphery, with the mint mark PLN (Prima Londiniensis) in the exergue, identifying the Londinium mint. A beaded border frames the entire reverse design.
