| Obverse description | Veiled, draped, and cuirassed bust of the deified Constantine I facing right, depicted in the posthumous consecratio tradition with a veil drawn over the head signifying divine status. The effigy displays finely rendered drapery folds over the cuirass, characteristic of Constantinian memorial coinage. The surrounding Latin legend reads DV CONSTANTINVS PT AVGG, identifying the emperor as Divus Constantinus, father of the Augusti. The portrait is rendered in the late Roman imperial style, with idealized facial features consistent with post-mortem commemorative issues struck at Nicomedia. |
