Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The emperor is portrayed in a commanding military aspect consistent with early Constantinian Treverian workshop style. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature in Latin legend reading clockwise. The die work displays the characteristic bold, slightly stylized portraiture associated with the Treveri mint during the early fourth century.
