Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, rendered in high relief with carefully engraved laurel wreath and visible paludamentum draped over the left shoulder. The portrait is youthful in character, consistent with Constantine's early depictions as Caesar, with strong facial features and a clean-shaven profile. The surrounding legend is incuse in Latin capitals, distributed evenly around the periphery of the flan. A beaded inner border frames the design. The overall style reflects the workshop conventions of the Londinium mint during the Tetrarchic period.
