Reverse description The Genius of the Augustus stands facing left, nude save for a chlamys over the left shoulder, wearing a modius (grain measure) on his head. He holds a patera in his extended right hand from which he pours a libation, and carries a cornucopia in his left arm, symbolising abundance. In the left field the letter N and in the right field the letter A flank the central figure, with a star (*) in the upper left field serving as an officina mark. The mint signature ALE• appears in the exergue, identifying the Alexandria mint, while the reverse legend GENIO AVGVSTI encircles the type.
