| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, rendered in the robust late Roman imperial style. The emperor wears a radiate laurel wreath and a muscled cuirass with visible drapery at the shoulder. The portrait is boldly executed with strong facial features characteristic of the Tetrarchic and early Constantinian period. The encircling obverse legend reads IMP C FL VAL CONSTANTINVS PF AVG, positioned from the lower left and running clockwise around the bust. |
