Obverse description Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, rendered in a bold military portrait style typical of the Constantinian period. The emperor wears a crested helmet adorned with an elaborate plume, and the cuirass is visible at the shoulder. The obverse legend CONST-ANTINVS AG runs around the periphery, identifying the emperor with the abbreviated title Augustus. The portrait conveys imperial authority through its strong profile and detailed armour treatment, consistent with London mint workmanship of the period.
