Reverse description Victory personified stands facing left atop the prow of a warship (rostrum), rendered in the standard Constantinian commemorative type. She holds a long sceptre in her right hand and rests her left hand upon a large, grounded shield. The figure is depicted in flowing drapery with wings extended, symbolising Rome's naval and military supremacy. The mint mark appears in the exergue. The overall composition is bold and typical of late Roman bronze coinage of the Constantinopolitan commemorative series.
