Obverse description Laureate bust of Constantine I facing right, draped in consular trabea (consular coat), the emperor holding a scipio (ivory sceptre) in his right hand. The portrait is rendered in the late Roman style with a bold, upright profile and fine laurel wreath detail. The encircling Latin legend reads CONSTANTINVS AVG, positioned along the outer border of the flan within a beaded rim.
