Obverse description Laureate and mantled bust of Constantine I facing right, the emperor holding an eagle-tipped sceptre in his right hand. The portrait is rendered in the imperial style characteristic of the Constantinian period, with a radiate laurel wreath crowning the head. The surrounding field carries the Latin legend CONSTAN-TINVS AVG divided on either side of the effigy. The coin exhibits a dark green patina consistent with its bronze composition and considerable age.
