Obverse description Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I facing right, depicted in a military crested helmet adorned with elaborate decorative elements and a plume, the emperor's strong profile rendered in high relief with careful attention to physiognomic detail. The cuirass is richly decorated with dot and line ornamentation visible at the shoulder and chest. The surrounding field is bordered by a beaded inner ring, with the imperial legend distributed around the periphery.

Reverse description A globe set upon a draped altar, the altar face inscribed with the votive legend VOT IS XX; three stars are disposed in the upper field, one to each side and one above the globe, symbolising celestial favour. The type celebrates Constantine's vicennalia vows. The mint mark occupying the exergue identifies the Trier officina responsible for striking the issue.
