Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Constantine I facing right, clad in the trabea (ceremonial imperial robe), holding an eagle-tipped sceptre over his left shoulder. The emperor's portrait is rendered in the robust late Constantinian style, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated and the drapery folds rendered in fine detail. The Latin legend encircles the bust in the outer field.
