Obverse description Right-facing helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I, depicted in a crested ridge helmet with detailed cheek guards and articulated neck guard, over elaborately decorated scale armour. The emperor's portrait is rendered in a bold, high-relief military style characteristic of the Constantinian period. The encircling Latin legend reads in divided form around the periphery of the flan.
