Obverse description Right-facing bust of Emperor Constans I, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial portrait style. The effigy displays finely striated hair gathered beneath a beaded diadem, with the paludamentum visible at the truncation. The encircling Latin legend reads CONSTANS P F AVG, identifying the emperor as Pius Felix Augustus. The flan is characteristically irregular, with the legend partially visible along the rim due to the coin's small module.
