| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style typical of the Constantinian period. The emperor wears a pearl diadem, with the mantle fastened at the shoulder. The obverse legend CONSTAN-S P F AVG encircles the bust, reading 'Constans, Pious and Happy, Augustus.' The flan is small and irregularly shaped, consistent with the debased bronze coinage of this period. Details are worn but the imperial portrait remains identifiable. |
