| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the mid-fourth century. The emperor's effigy is depicted with a pearl diadem and military paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend reads D N FL CONSTANS AVG, identifying the emperor as Dominus Noster Flavius Constans Augustus. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily worn, with the portrait details largely obscured by patination and corrosion typical of circulated bronze coinage of this period. |
