Obverse description Right-facing bust of Emperor Constans I, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed, presented in three-quarter relief. The emperor's effigy displays closely cropped curled hair adorned with a rosette diadem, characteristic of the Constantinian dynastic portrait style. The paludamentum is visible at the shoulder, fastened with a fibula, and the cuirass is rendered in detail beneath. The obverse legend CONSTANS P F AVG runs clockwise around the periphery, partially visible within the coin's irregular flan. The portrait exhibits the youthful features typical of early Constans coinage produced at the Siscia mint.
