| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Emperor Constans, rendered in the imperial military style, combining a laureate wreath with a rosette diadem, over draped shoulders and cuirassed chest. The effigy displays finely striated hair beneath the laurel crown, with dotted diadem ties visible at the neck. The legend encircles the bust in Latin capitals, reading CONSTANS P F AVG, identifying the emperor as Pious and Fortunate Augustus. The portrait exhibits the compact, stylised treatment characteristic of late Constantinian workshop production, with pronounced facial features and a slight forward tilt of the head.
