Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans facing right, as Caesar, rendered in the late Constantinian style characteristic of the Thessalonica mint. The portrait displays the youthful features befitting his rank as NOB CAES, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads CONSTANS NOB CAES, distributed around the bust. The coin exhibits an irregular flan typical of hammered nummi of this period, with noticeable wear and a dark olive-green patina over the bronze fabric.
