Obverse description Bare-headed, rosette-diademed bust of Constans facing right, draped and cuirassed, with the legend encircling the effigy. The portrait displays the characteristic late Roman style with a prominent eye and structured facial features. The rosette diadem, composed of a series of rounded jewels, is clearly delineated across the forehead. The neck and paludamentum are rendered in low relief consistent with the reduced module coinage of the post-Constantinian reform period.
