| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constans facing right, depicted as a youthful emperor. The portrait is rendered in the late Roman imperial style with a pearl diadem encircling the head. The encircling Latin legend reads D N CONSTA-NS P F AVG, identifying the emperor as Dominus Noster Constans, Pius Felix Augustus. The coin's surface shows characteristic green patination consistent with long burial, and the flan is slightly irregular in shape as typical of hammered nummi of this period. |
