Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Constans facing right, portrayed as a young Caesar. The effigy displays finely detailed drapery over the cuirass, consistent with the Constantinian workshop style. The Latin legend FL IVL CONSTANS NOB C encircles the bust, identifying the prince as Flavius Julius Constans, Noble Caesar. The coin exhibits considerable surface corrosion and patination, with the portrait remaining identifiable despite wear. A beaded border frames the entire obverse field.
