| Obverse description | Bare-necked bust of Emperor Constans facing right, wearing a pearl diadem composed of two rows of beads with a central rosette, the hair rendered in fine parallel striations swept back from the forehead. The effigy is draped and cuirassed, with a paludamentum visible at the truncation. The obverse legend CONST-ANS AVG runs along the beaded border, identifying the emperor as Augustus. |
