| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Constans facing right, rendered in a firm late Roman imperial style. The diadem is composed of rosettes or pearls, visible at the nape of the neck, with drapery visible at the shoulder. The effigy is set within a beaded border, with the imperial legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic strong jaw and idealized features typical of Constantinian-era coinage from eastern mints. |
