Obverse description Nude youth on horseback, the horse walking to right; the rider extends his right hand to place a wreath or crown upon the horse's head. The magistrate's abbreviated name ΖΩ appears in the upper field, while ΝΕΥ/ΜΗ is inscribed in two lines in the lower field below the horse. The composition is executed in the refined South Italian engraving style characteristic of late Tarentine coinage.
