Obverse description Nude ephebus rider seated right on walking horse, his right arm raised and extending forward as if crowning the horse. A small triangular symbol (delta) appears in the upper right field, accompanied by a vertical stroke, serving as magistrate's control marks. The composition is rendered in a vigorous late Tarentine style, with fine detail in the horse's musculature and mane.
