Reverse description Reverse bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script reading 'Dar al-Khilafat Lahore', identifying the mint city of Lahore as the seat of the caliphate. The legend is distributed across the field in several horizontal lines filling the full flan. The strike is bold but irregular, with some weakness at the edges consistent with hammered copper production. The coin exhibits characteristic blue-green patination with areas of red cuprite visible beneath.
