Obverse description Three lines of Urdu (Nasta'liq) legend filling the field, invoking the name and titles of Queen Victoria alongside those of Bahadur II, the ruling prince of Jhalawar. The inscription is arranged horizontally across the coin face within a plain inner border. Rosette and plant mintmarks are interspersed within the legend as characteristic Jhalawar state identifiers. The entire design is enclosed by a beaded outer border running along the full circumference. The layout is characteristic of the Mandan Shahi nazarana presentation coinage issued for ceremonial purposes.
