Reverse description The reverse displays a multi-line Arabic script inscription occupying the central field, giving the regnal name and titles of Bahadur Khan, ruler of Junagadh. A date in the Hijri calendar, corresponding to 1249 AH (1834 CE), appears prominently in the upper portion of the field. The legends are enclosed within a well-defined beaded border consistent with the hammered coinage tradition of the Junagadh mint. The script is rendered in the angular Naskh style typical of Kathiawar Princely State issues of this period.
