Obverse description Forepart of a lion's paw rendered in high relief, with three prominent claws splayed upward and a rounded pad visible at the base, set against a plain, slightly concave field. The design is boldly executed in the archaic Ionian style, characteristic of early electrum coinage from Miletos.
