| Obverse description | Head of a ram in left profile, rendered in high relief with carefully detailed curling horns and facial musculature characteristic of Archaic Greek die-cutting. A small seal, the civic emblem of Phokaia, appears in the lower field beneath the ram's head. The design fills the irregularly flan with confident, compact artistry typical of early Ionian electrum coinage. No legend or inscription is present. |
