Obverse description A tunny fish (thunnus) depicted in left profile, swimming to the right across the flan, rendered in archaic relief with bold, stylized strokes characteristic of early Kyzikene coinage. The body of the fish is rendered in low relief with incised fin detail, occupying the full width of the irregularly shaped flan. No inscription or border present; the design fills the field entirely in the manner typical of early electrum fractional coinage from the Propontis region.
