Reverse description Quadripartite incuse square occupying the full reverse field, divided into four recessed triangular sections by two diagonal raised ridges meeting at the centre, creating a windmill or pinwheel pattern in deep relief. The incuse design is characteristic of early Greek hammered coinage, produced by the punch of the reverse die, and displays the irregular texture typical of Kyzikene electrum fractions of the late Archaic and early Classical periods.
