| Obverse description | Central field features the crossed Keys of Saint Peter — the traditional papal emblem — surmounted by the papal tiara, all rendered in bold relief within a dotted inner border. Flanking the keys and tiara is a decorative cartouche bearing the date 1793 in the lower exergual area. The circular legend reads PIVS SEXTVS (split as PIVS · SEX · TVS) around the periphery, identifying Pope Pius VI as the issuing authority.
