Obverse description The Agnus Dei (Paschal Lamb) is depicted standing left within a quadrilobe, nimbed and bearing a long staff surmounted by a cross, from which hangs a banner charged with the Bavarian lozenge (fusily) pattern. The finely detailed fleece is rendered with great care in the Gothic hammered tradition. A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with the circular Latin legend in uncial lettering occupying the broad outer field.
