Obverse description Of Romanesque structure, its facade and its vault were rebuilt in the Gothic period, while keeping its two Romanesque bell towers. In 1100, the Abbey of Cluny had 800 `subsidiaries` and `branches` throughout Christendom. Among them were five major priories also known as `Daughters of Cluny`. The priory of Souvigny is one of them.
