Obverse description Central device depicts the ornate Gothic facade of the Royal Monastery of Brou (Monastère Royal de Brou) in high relief, featuring elaborate tracery, arched portals, a rose window, and sculptural detail. A decorative royal monogram cipher appears to the upper left in the field. The curved legend around the upper portion of the coin reads MONASTÈRE ROYAL DE BROU, flanked by two raised dots on each side.

Reverse description The reverse features a broad textured field enclosed by a raised inner circle. At the top of the inner circle, the Monnaie de Paris logo appears within a circular device depicting the mint building facade, with the legend MONNAIE DE PARIS below it. In the lower half of the field, the inscription CENTRE DES MONUMENTS NATIONAUX is struck in two lines, followed by rows of small pictographic monument symbols. The outer legend surrounding the rim reads FRANCIA, ФРАНЦИЯ, FRANCE, FRANKREICH, and France in Arabic and Chinese scripts, with the date 2016 at the bottom.
