| Obverse description | Central field displays the Coat of Arms of Rewa State, depicting two rampant lions facing each other and supporting a central pointed arch or shield device, surmounted by a flagpole with pennant. The supporters stand upon a decorative curved base with scrollwork. A small Devanagari character appears in the lower exergue below the linear border. |

Gulab Singh ruled Rewa from 1918 until his death in 1946, and this mohur was struck during the early years of his reign when Rewa retained the right to issue its own coinage — a privilege the British Crown had preserved selectively across the princely states. Rewa's gold issues are genuinely scarce; the state's mint output was modest by any measure, and gold denominations saw limited production relative to the silver and copper series.
