| Obverse description | Square flan bearing a four-line devotional and royal legend inscribed in Devanagari script within a plain linear border. The inscription reads 'Jaya Sri Gaura Simha Manipureshvarat Tenotapadani', invoking the glory of the ruler Gaura Simha as lord of Manipur. The characters are boldly struck and fill the field, arranged in four roughly horizontal registers characteristic of hammered square Manipuri gold coinage. The surface retains the irregular texture typical of the hammered technique. |
