| Obverse description | Hammered gold flan bearing a four-line Persian poetic legend in cursive Nasta'liq-style Arabic script, arranged within horizontal registers across the field. The inscription reads a verse proclaiming that Iran regained its youth under the auspices of Shahrukh, struck as a coin of the Sahib-Qiran (Lord of the Conjunction), with the regnal year 1163 AH appearing at the foot of the legend. The lettering is bold and deeply struck, characteristic of Afsharid gold coinage, with the irregular flan edges typical of hammered production. |
