Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Ptolemy V Epiphanes facing right, wearing the royal diadem with elaborately beaded and striated hair swept upward and back; a trident or sceptre rests over the left shoulder, rendered in fine relief against the plain field. The portrait is executed in the idealized Hellenistic style characteristic of Alexandrian court coinage, with strong facial modeling and a pronounced jawline. The flan is bordered by a continuous dotted bead-and-reel inner border.
