Obverse description Diademed and veiled head of the deified Arsinoe II facing right, adorned with the ram's horn of Ammon, a diademed stephane crowning the veil, and a lotus-tipped scepter rising over the far shoulder, occasionally with a serpent coiled around its shaft. The effigy is rendered in the refined Hellenistic portrait style characteristic of Ptolemaic royal coinage, with delicate facial features conveying divine authority. A grape cluster hangs prominently from the rim of each horn, further emphasizing the theme of divine fertility associated with the deified queen.
