The portrait is rendered in the refined Hellenistic court style characteristic of Ptolemaic royal portraiture. The entire design is contained within a border of raised dots.

Reverse description A single upright cornucopia (horn of plenty) bound with a decorative fillet, with a prominent bunch of grapes pendant from its opening. The royal dedicatory legend ΑΡΣΙΝΟΗΣ ΦΙΛΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ, meaning 'of Arsinoe Philopator', is arranged in the field alongside a six-pointed star, identifying the coin as a posthumous issue struck in honour of the deified queen. The design is enclosed within a border of raised dots.
